How to Use the WordPress Image Uploader and Image Editor
2Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve spent some time playing with the new WordPress image editor that shipped with WordPress 2.9. It’s pretty cool and something you should play around with if you use any images on your site. I went ahead and did a short video tutorial covering the important parts. The video runs about 6 minutes.

Thanks for posting this video–I never noticed the photo edit button before in WP 2.9.X.
I thought that WP automatically added any photo you upload from your computer to a post into the Media Gallery.
That’s always been my experience, but maybe that’s a setting I enabled somewhere within the WP admin control panel.
Personally, I like having all my images in the Media Gallery so I can quickly see all photos in one place, without having to use FTP to hunt through the various monthly ‘upload’ folders.
Thanks for the comment Charles.
