2. The theme does not technically have an ad management function. What it offers is two fields on the theme settings page where you can enter code for a 468×60 banner ad in the header and a 468×60 banner ad just above the posts. Ads in the sidebar can be placed by using a standard WordPress text widget. If you need more extensive ad management functionality, you’d need to use one of the many ad management plugins. For examples, see: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tags/ads

I am working with a developer to upgrade my site and we are looking at your wp-ellie theme. Couple of questions….
1. Can we import my current blog data to wp-ellie and how do we do that?
2. What is the ad management admin look like? What options will I have to manage ad space? Are there statistics?

I have trouble trying to change my background image, none of the options work,
solid color, custom background….
nothing works, I always have grey background…

2. You’d need to use a WordPress plugin for that; there are several listed in the WP Plugins directory.

3. It’s not something that’s built into the theme. It can be done but would require customization.

4. WordPress allows you to embed youtube videos on a page or post regardless of the theme you use.

5. You would need a plugin for this.

1. In place of where the first add panel on the right column I want to have a tiled block of links to my web related links that apply to actors: Imdb, wikipedia, actors access, la casting, etc. Please check out my old website to get an idea of what I mean (it’s on the right column of the main page http://www.michelemorrow.com)

I also want to add a Facebook “Like” button for my fanpage and have that featured in a little widget like box – please see http://grasiemercedes.com/ on the right column near the bottom (I’d want mine nearer the top, are these items movable on the side bar?), but as you can see she has her FB photo on her fan page, the “like” button, and the tiles of photos of those who have recently “liked” the page.

3. Another thing I like is on another one of your SoloStream templates: http://www.solostream.com/demo/wp-inspired.html – I love the black box subscribe area with the connect social media icons that say follow me, etc and allow you to put the url’s under it. can I integrate this on the ellie site? I’d like it to be above the tiled icon area for Imdb, etc that I mentioned in item #1. If not, no biggie, I just thought it was cool.

4. What is the YouTube video integration like? I don’t see anything on the Ellie demo and I need a full page of YouTube integration – specifically embedded videos for my demo reel, host reel, etc, with a subscribe button for my youtube channel.

5. For blog/news items, am I able to add in http://disqus.com/ for the comment section? And can I make sure that each blog/news item has a “share” that they can post to social media outlets: FB, Stumble, Reddit, etc? All those little icons?

My boyfriend is highly skilled with WordPress, but he urged me to write you and ask how customizable WP-Ellie is so we can tailor it specifically to a few additional needs before we purchase.

Again, I think this site is beautiful and almost exactly what I was looking for.
