Amir. It is possible but would require quite a bit of customization beyond what available via the theme settings page.

You can easily add a featured video in the sidebar via the sidebar widgets. If you want it somewhere else on the homepage, yes, it would need to be customized.

there are several plugins that will add social media links/share links. custom ads would also need some sort of plugin.
my best advice woudl be to search the wordpress plugins directory.
3. can I add a full-width option?
this is easy to do.

I have a few questions pre-potential purchase:
1, Just how customisable is the theme? For example, I would wish to get rid of the 3rd column down the left hand side on post pages and extend the main column into that space: is that possible?
2, How customisable are the tabs? Can you edit them to be in CAPS, edit colour, font etc?
3, On the homepage, could you move the ‘Other Recent Articles’ section above the Category boxes? And can you reduce/increase the amount of posts in those Category sections (currently 3 for each in the demo, I’d perhaps like to reduce that..)

Hi Jonathan. It’s quite simple to remove the left sidebar via the theme settings page.
Tabs can be edited via the stylesheet.
You can edit the number of posts in the category boxes quite easily.
As for moving the other recent articles up, that could be done by tweaking the code a bit, but it’s not difficult.

Hi, this is exactly the type of theme I have been looking for, and would like to use it for multiple sites. It is imperative that I have a bilingual English/Chinese site. At the moment I use qTranslate with Wordpress 2.9.1. (any higher version of WP, that plug-in does not work). Would the qTranslate plug-in work with your template?

Hi Paul. Not sure how much research you’ve done on membership sites, so forgive me if you already know this. To set up a membership site with WordPress, you would need a 3rd party plugin/script, such as Wishlist Member or aMember. They allow you to set up a membership site regardless of the particular WordPress theme you choose. There’s nothing about WP-Clear that would prevent you from using it in conjunction with either of them.

Hi Justin. I’m sorry, but I don’t know what you mean by “dynamic sidebar widgets.” Are you just wanting a list of posts from a specific category to show up in your sidebar?
If so, there’s a great plugin for that called Category Posts Widget.

The number of category boxes available is 4. More could be added if needed, but it would require customization. Someone in our support forum cam provide some guidance on how to easily do that.
As for ads, there are 3 fields on the Theme Settings page where you can place the code for your ads ( see this screenshot ). You could incorporate a 3rd party but not via the theme settings page. You’d need to place any necessary plugin code within the template.
As it’s currently configured, the slider can not show a video without some customization of the code. A vide oplayer could be added if you understand the programming. Otherwise, we could do the customization for additional charge.

Yes definitely. You can place a post in as many categories as you want, although I’d recommend limiting it to no more than 3 if possible.

Thanks Michael. I can appreciate how the photo galleries wouldn’t show up the same way as Wp-Mag, but I’m not sure how videos show up on the front page of Wp-Mag? I see that there’s a play button image super-imposed over the video pic, but it doesn’t play the video there, it just links to the post, does it not?
So the process for embedding video would be the same for clear and mag?

Yes, that’s right. WP-MediaMag only shows the small video icon on the home page. You can not actually play the video on the home page.
With WP-MediaMag, you need to use a custom field to embed your video for it to appear properly on the home page (with the icon) as well as the Single Post page ( see this tutorial: http://wp-mediamag.solostreamsites.com/2009/07/how-to-add-video-to-a-post/ ).
With WP-Clear, you would simply paste your embed code into the post editor and it will appear on the Single Post page according to the embed code you used. When viewing the post on the home page however, there won’t be an icon like you have with MediaMag.

Hi Scott. The short answer is no. The longer answer is that you can embed video and create photo galleries in any WordPress theme. It’s just that they won’t appear on the home page as they do in WP-MediaMag. They will show up on WP-Clear the same way that any other article/post does.
