Do your WordPress themes contain spyware/adware?
Absolutely not! Unfortunately, it’s true that there are some less-than-scrupulous WordPress theme designers out there who have embedded various scripts and snippets of code within the WordPress themes they release to the public. I can assure you that you’ll find none of that on any of the themes available here at Solostream. In fact, the only links embedded in our WordPress themes are a link back to Solostream.com and a link to WordPress.org.
If I purchase a WordPress theme, will I receive free updates?
Yes. Simply retain your receipt for proof of purchase, and you will receive future theme updates for free.
What is your refund policy?
Due to the nature of our products, which are intangible goods that are digitally delivered, we cannot offer refunds for purchases. All sales are final so please thoroughly review each theme and ask any questions you might have prior to purchase. If you have any questions about this policy or how it may apply to your situation, please feel free to send us an email and we will be happy to correct your problem.
How are your themes licensed?
Our themes are offered under a dual license. The PHP code contained in our themes is licensed under the GPL license as is WordPress itself. You can read the license here. All other parts of our themes, including the CSS code, images and design are licensed according to one of three licenses, depending on the one you purchase (Basic, Premium or Developer).
Can I resell your WordPress themes?
No, you can not. All of our themes are protected by copyright, and may not be redistributed in any form or fashion.
However, if you purchase the Developer License for a theme, you can use the theme as a platform to develop client sites.
What sort of support do you provide for your WordPress Themes?
If you purchase one of our Premium WordPress themes, you will receive free lifetime access to the Solostream Support Forum. If you ever have a question or a problem with the theme, one of our moderators will be happy to assist you.
What WordPress version do I need to use your WordPress themes?
For security purposes, you should always use latest version of WordPress (currently 3.0). All of our themes have been tested and work fine with that version, as well as earlier versions.
On your WordPress themes, is it easy to change fonts, colors, etc?
In most cases, yes. Most of our Premium WordPress themes have a built-in theme settings page (except for WP-Magazine) that allows you to easily make modifications to your site. If not, someone in the Solostream Support Forum will be happy to provide simple instructions on how to make minor modifications.
When I purchase a WordPress theme, what do I receive?
When you purchase a Premium WordPress theme from Solostream, here’s what you receive:
1. A copy of the End User License Agreement (EULA).
2. A theme folder containing the necessary files to use the theme.
3. Photoshop PSD files are also available for download.
If I purchase one of your WordPress themes, can I modify it?
Yes. Each license – whether it be the Basic, Premium or Developer – gives you permission to use and modify your theme as much as you like. You can also have your own web designer make modifications for you if you like.
If I purchase the Basic license for one of your WordPress themes, can I later upgrade to the Premium license.
The Premium license is regularly $100 more than the basic license, so if you upgrade to the Basic license later, you would pay $100 additional.
