The fact that I have been able to master its basics and put together a site that looks pretty decent is down to (a) the user-friendliness of Wordpress, but also (b) the patience and guidance of Alistair Barnett (Solostream's Forum Administrator). It must be very frustrating to be on the receiving end of so many elementary questions, especially when answering one brings another two, but in a couple of weeks he has taken me from floundering around to being confident that I can understand at least some of what is going on in the engine. I have a lot to learn still, but I'm off to a good start. I’m a complete WordPress novice.
