Actually, I use WP blogs on a lot of my sites as well. But what you said is true. If you do not want to play around with the settings and templates, standard blogging platform like blogger and typepad would be a better option.

For a more robust CMS, you might want to consider Joomla as well.

I’ve been using WP for a few months now myself. I agree – awesome!! I’m getting ready to implement WP into a client’s existing web site design – I love that flexibility WP has.

I switched to WordPress 4 or 5 months ago (from b2evolution) and I really like it. I have not had a look at wordpress 2.0 yet.
