I went with WP-SUBLIME because it fit all my needs:
1) Magazine layout
2) Sidebar that goes to top of page
3) Banner Ad support
3) Page/Post templates
4) Auto thumbnails
5) Author bio
Thanks Pete!
The quality of the theme is a given. Nothing happens without that.
For me as someone with zero code knowledge
the most important factor is support!
I see the excellent forum support provided here.
That’s why I will purchase from Solostream when I launch my music library site this year.
The Price.
Michael,
I just completed poll. I would think quality and price are the most important to address. This applies not only in the real estate industry but across the board. btw, impressed with blog, I will be checking back for updates….
Thanks for the feedback, Kenneth and the kind words.
1) The first thing I look for is functionality. Will the theme do everything I need, will it suit the content on my blog/site.
2) Second would be the “Quality of the Code”, normally if it’s coded good it will be easy to customize and will be easy to maintain.
Well-said, as usual Martin. Thanks.
I’ll be glad I did it? Made me expect some kind of reward…And what happend when I answered. Nothing.
At least you can feel better about contributing to the betterment of WordPress themes around the world :-)
Just a comment about the alternatives, Michael. It is of course impossible to evaluate the quality of the code before you have actually bought the theme.
But, that is the reason why I remain a customer of Solostream. You have excellent quality of code. Even non-coders like me will be able to understand the logic. A big, big plus.
“Just a comment about the alternatives, Michael. It is of course impossible to evaluate the quality of the code before you have actually bought the theme.”
Sort of true. You can view the source code of a site using the theme and at least get a feel for the XHTML and CSS. Still, point taken, and thanks for the very kind words, as usual.
