Here are some basic costs:

Domain Name (1 year): $15
Web Hosting (1 year): $70-$100
Theme for WordPress – if you buy one (one time charge): $30-$100

So, you’re looking at $85 to $150 for a WordPress based site.

It should only really cost you the price of a domain name and hosting, Then you can just slap wordpress onto it and start posting!

There are many sites such as Jumpline or one of the major sites such as GoDaddy who offer simple site building services. For more complex sites, we highly encourage you to learn more about WordPress and choose from the many site building options that this platform offers. Good luck.
