Hi. I just emailed before reading this so I think I may have sent to the wrong place….anyway…Ive pretty much decided to buy media-mag for my site but just dont like one little thing, the way the last line of text is trimmed off in the preview posts, is this changeable?
p.s. I really dont know anything about editing code!

I was think that Facebook had an open platform that would I could use to open up on a page in the magazine site? Am I right or wrong about this? Hi Lee. Thanks for the kind words. I can’t recommend any specific chat-room plugins or scripts as I’ve never used any of them. I’m not familiar with Facebook’s platform; didn’t know they had anything like that. Sorry.

Hi Edgar. If you don’t want to use an email subscription or social media links, the only item that will show up is the RSS feed link. This is all very easy to control via the Theme Settings Page.

Hi Dawn. If you go to the demo site, you can see the color options by selecting them from the top navigation bar.
Also, there are some settings on the Theme Settings Page that allow you to change the body background to a solid color or some other image if you like.
Yes, you can add any widgets you’d like to add.

I am a photojournalist and I’m trying to find a new template that can serve as both an article based blog, but also feature photo galleries with lightbox features.
“WP-MediaMag” looks like a possibility, but I’m wondering about the ease of adding functionality to photo galleries.

Hi Keith. There are several WordPress plugins available that can add the lightbox functionality for you quite easily. My best advice would be to try a search in the WordPress plugins directory. Shutter Reloaded is one that I’ve personally tested with WP-MediaMag, and it works very well.

In general, it doesn’t take long to install and set it up. There’s an install guide here. Of course, you make want to make tweaks and mods beyond that, so there’s no predicting how long you might spend on that.

Web page load time is affected by many things, such as the amount of content on the page, the size of any images used, the efficiency of your web host, any plugins that may be used and various other factors. One way to speed things up is to use a cache Wordpress plugin such as WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache.
