Walking the Walk . . .

From inside Solostream, the addition of the new members to the team has gone off without a hitch.  Michael Pollock has provided strong guidance for maintaining the courteous and professional service.

As I considered the comments from recent posts about the significance of maintaining a high level of customer support, I realized that we can “talk the talk” very easily.  However, it is only when you “walk the walk” and let your actions speak for you that you demonstrate true commitment.

I thought our customers and prospective customers would find it interesting to see some of the feedback we have received since Alistair Barnett and I joined Solostream this month.

I recently purchased another premium theme and I have been very frustrated with how much work/code is required to get it to look or work anything like the demo site. I’ve basically given up because I don’t want to hire someone to make it work and their support is lacking.  I’ve been all thru your demo site, tutorials and Q&A’s and I’m very impressed with the responsiveness and attention to detail that you are using – I hope it continues!

    I am glad that you and Michael have decided to increase the value of the Solostream brand. I have been in the tech space for over a decade and been an employee for most of that time until starting my own consulting company. During that time as an employee, I lived through a few acquisitions. The best ones were those where there was clear value creation when one company buys another. Where one plus one equals two. Such as when Business Objects bought Crystal Decisions, or when SAP bought Business Objects. It was articulated clearly and precisely up front how the marketplace would benefit from the fiscal ability of the bigger company and the customer base would enjoy better integration where both products that were already being used in the same organizations (which happened to be 75% of the time).
    I haven’t seen anything yet in terms of why this makes sense for Solostream users other than the introduction of the Forum (which is a little harder to use than Michael’s prior method of posting support responses on various sites, but better in terms of serviceability and search-ability). Who is Jigsaw? I would like to know… I’m sure others would too. There are tons of WP Themes out there and I care strongly about what the next Solostream theme will look like. I have ideas on how to make and keep this one of the best WP premium brands out there. And I liked working with Michael directly on many of those small improvements in the past. I’ve been with Michael for just under a year now and would like to know what the future looks like. I am a very strong advocate of your brand and look forward to learning more about the future of Solostream.
