Blurb Your Blog into a Book
By Michael Pollock in Blogs and Blogging, Software
In case you missed the short NYT piece on Thursday, check out Booksmart by Blurb. It’s software that lets you convert your blog into a book.
“This handsome, hardcover book captures your online wit and wisdom for posterity – not to mention friends and family with painfully slow dial-up connections. BookSmart’s Automagical archive feature flows your blog directly into elegant, pre-formatted pages, and you can pick and choose your words from there.”
Unfortunately, it’s currently available by invitation only. Anybody tried it yet?

I don’t think that I would use it; I think that most blogs are not really laid out well for a direct translation to traditional media. I would want to pick and choose where and how to organize things and would want to rewrite for better flow before printing something.

We are working with this company in our Blog to Book Project and they are actually still in beta on converting blog posts into books. However, when they’re ready it will be very cool because you will be able to edit and format and organize your posts into a legible book.
